it’s hard to find really good binoculars purely designed for boating but this Fujinon model did the trick for me. I went for this model and not the compass ones because I heard the compass is not always accurate. Anyways the Fujinon 7×50 are 100% waterproof so you can even drop them into the sea and get away with it. The view is good and for me 7x zoom is definitely appropriate. Anymore than that and you can’t really see anything from a rocking platform so keep that in mind. I find the eyecaps comfortable, the binocular gets into focus right away and the quality of the image is sharp and clear. The best part I think is the larger 50 mm lenses that allow you to use them even at night, The Fujinon 7×50 is on the heavier side but for me that’s fine. I guess they could have been lighter but they are perfectly fine to hold and stable. Wide range of view so they work well for me when scanning the horizon. You can use them for anything really so they are a great set of all around binos. Well done Fuji
